Q: What do the initials SRIA stand for?

A: Societas Rosicruciana in Anglia (Society of Rosicrucians in England)

Q: Do you have to be a Freemason to join?

A: Yes. Members must be Master Masons and accept the principles of the Trinitarian Christian faith.

Q: How do I become a Freemason?

A: If you are interested in joining Freemasonry, you are advised to visit the United Grand Lodge of England webpages which offers plenty of information about Freemasonry and contacts, should you wish to apply. If you know a friend or family member who is a Mason - talk to them. They will most likely be delighted in your interest and will be able to tell you more.

Q: Isn’t this supposed to be secret?

A: No, but it is a society for members and the college meetings are private. Visitors are quite welcome to the site and free to read our articles and ask any questions, which we are happy to answer as best we can. More details are available in the leaflets on the “about us” pages which is a good place to start for anyone with an interest. You are also welcome to apply for an account on this site (see the 'Join us!' link on the sidebar).

Q: I am a Master Mason and am interested in the SRIA - what should I do?

A: Read the literature on the “About us / SRIA” pages to find out more about the society. The “Why the SRIA?” booklet contains a list of colleges in the province: You may write to the secretary of the college most convenient to you, expressing your interest and he will arrange for you to be given more information about joining. You can also apply for an account on this site (see the 'Join us!' link on the sidebar). This will give you access to forums where you will be able to discuss the SRIA with its members and read more about the Society.

Q: I am not a Freemason but am interested in the SRIA - can I find out more?

A: Although you are required to be a Freemason to join, anyone interested in the Society and subjects on this site are welcome to apply for an account on this site (see the 'Join us!' link on the sidebar). This will give you access to forums where you will be able to discuss the SRIA with its members and find out more about the Society.
