The Fourth Way
|The Fourth Way is an approach to self-development devised by George Gurdjieff. Gurdjieff combined what he saw as three traditional Eastern philosophies; transforming the body (hatha yoga), transforming emotions (monasticism) and transforming the mind (raja yoga), into what he called a fourth way.
The Fourth Way mainly addresses the question of people's place in the Universe, their possibilities for inner development, and transcending the body to achieve a higher state of consciousness.
